General Terms and ConditionsThese Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. They represent our entire Agreement with you and supersede all prior terms, conditions, warranties and/or representations to the extent permitted by law.
Methods of PaymentsWe accept payment through our secure payment gateway Payfast which also accept Visa or Mastercard. Payment can also be made directly to our bank account. We may extend payment options in future at our discretion. Products are dispatched as soon as electronic payments reflect into our bank account.
Changes or Updates to Terms and ConditionsLamps on Line may periodically update or change the Terms and Conditions without notice. The details of which will be posted on this site and be effective forthwith. Your continued use of our website will mean you accept any updated or revised Terms and Conditions.
Online RegistrationUsers are not required to register with us before placing their order online. However, if you do not register with us you will not qualify for our Loyalty Reward Program as we will have no account to reliably associate you with. Should you wish to register with us, you will be required to provide personal information such as a valid email address as well as a postal and delivery address, which will be stored on our secured server. Upon registration you will receive a one-time login link which will require you to confirm your email address. Registration and/or use of our online shopping website constitute your acceptance and agreement to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of our website. We only deliver within the borders of South Africa and cannot accept a delivery address that does not fall within it. Information that you provide is stored on our servers for your future shopping experience with us. You may at any time change or update your personal information with us. To amend any registration particulars please click on "my account" and edit your details. Lamps on Line accepts no liability for any damages suffered or losses incurred from the use or misuse of your password. You will be required to enter your user email address and password each time you visit our online shopping site.
Use of our Website outside South AfricaCustomers who do not reside in South Africa are welcome to use our website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions to make online purchases provided that the delivery address is in South Africa.
DeliveryWe only deliver within the borders of South Africa. We do not allow any collections – all items must be delivered. We have outsourced all delivery and collection arrangements to FEDEX. Accordingly, we cannot, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for any damage suffered or loss incurred by reason of any acts or omissions of the deliverer, its directors, employees, sub-contractors, agents, representatives and/or affiliates. We do not give waybill numbers to our clients. Any following up on a delivery must be done through us and not directly with the courier company.
Lead TimesStock items will be delivered within four days of order confirmation with the courier company. Made-to-Order items will be manufactured upon order and will be delivered within three to four weeks after order confirmation by the courier company. This may vary due to production backlog and will be communicated to you by email upon placing the order.
CancellationWe do not accept cancellations once proof of payment has been received.
Flawed Products, Returns and RefundsThe person receiving the items will be required to sign a POD/Delivery note indicating that each item has been received in good condition. Lamps on Line cannot be held liable for any damages that were not indicated on the POD/Delivery note at time of delivery. Should the product/s be flawed on delivery (and we are notified on the POD/Delivery note), we will endeavor to repair or replace the item in question. All valid claims are subject to assessment by our staff and decisions made are at the discretion of Lamps on Line management. If we are unable to repair or replace the flawed item within 30 days a full refund will be applicable. We do not accept returned goods under any other circumstances.
Discounts and PromotionsBecause Lamps on Line values its customers it rewards them with a Customer Loyalty Program. Only registered users qualify for such a discount. In the event that a registered customer's previous accumulated purchases exceeds set limits such a customer is rewarded with future discounts.
There are three levels in our Customer Loyalty Program:
